Accessibility Real Estate Referral Network
As the Pacific Northwest experts on accessible residential real estate, we frequently receive requests from people outside of Washington state who are seeking knowledgeable Realtors in their area to help with their accessible housing needs. In order to serve these clients better, we are expanding our network of qualified accessibility Realtors® across the country we can refer to buyers and sellers who need their help.
If you are interested in learning more about buying and selling accessible real estate and becoming an Able Environments referral partner, please fill out the form below and we will be in touch with further information. Thanks for your interest!
As an educational tool, we also offer a WA state-accredited 3-hour Continuing Education Course* titled, “Boost Your Business Through Accessibility”, covering topics related to accessibility and how it can help you grow your business.
This course gives realtors an overview on topics around accessible real estate, including:
An introduction to different types of disabilities, accessibility features, and lifestyles
A brief overview of the (ADA) Americans with Disability Act, The Fair Housing Act, and other legislations which impact home buying and accessibility
A positive discussion on how to work with clients who have different types of disabilities
Universal Design, Age-in-place, Accessibility & Mobility design features
Ways your business can benefit from working with clients who have current and/or future accessibility needs
An in-depth look at the “Accessibility Supplement” form which we created in partnership with the Real Estate Standards Organization and our local Northwest Multiple Listing Service (NWMLS); when to use it and how to fill it out
Support and guidance for how to approach your local MLS to get accessibility features adopted into its listing input
*Please note that while any Realtors are welcome to participate in this course, we are currently only certified for Realtors in Washington State to receive credit hours for completion. If you reside outside of Washington state and would like to receive clock hours for this course, please be in touch so we can research options that would allow you to receive continuing education credits.
